Northwest ISD’s Food Service department is committed to the health and well-being of our students by offering nutritious meals. A well-balanced breakfast and lunch plays a vital role in each child’s success. We believe in providing a "best in class" food and nutrition program by creating an environment that helps students flourish. 

Our department follows Food Base Menu Planning.  All secondary and elementary school meals meet the Recommended Daily Allowance established by the USDA and the Texas Department of Agriculture. We research and evaluate every recipe in our menu to ensure they meet nutrition requirements measured by the following categories: Saturated Fat, Total Fat, Calories and Sodium.  For further details on the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy please refer to the full policy at

Northwest ISD has kitchens in the following cities Justin, Haslet, Rhome, Newark, Keller, Fort Worth, Trophy Club, and Roanoke.

Pick up
Curbside Meal Update:
There will be no Curbside Meals served over Spring Break. Service will resume on March 24th.
Three pick up days:
Breakfast and Lunch for Monday and Tuesday will be handed out on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday on Wednesday, and Friday on Friday.

Free & Curbside Meals

Northwest ISD Food Services offers FREE breakfast and lunch to all NISD enrolled elementary and middle school students. 

Due to NISD high schools not being a part of any federal nutrition program, high school students will continue to be charged according to their eligibility. The price for reduced breakfast is $.30 and reduced lunch is $.40. The price for paid breakfast is $1.35 and paid lunch is $2.75. Premium paid lunches are available for $3.95. High School students can qualify for free and reduced meals by completing an application and receiving approval for the Free or Reduced School Food Program. Applications are available online at or paper applications are available from your school campus. 

Curbside Meals: All curbside meals must be pre-ordered using the Nutrislice app or website.  Students may choose entrée, one side is automatically included, and white or chocolate milk is optional. 

To comply with the recommended CDC guidelines, all meals will be prepared for curbside pick-up. No group meals or congregating will be allowed. Meals will be served outside of the listed schools in front or back of the listed locations. 

Parents are requested to remain in their cars as they drive up to pick up meals.

Please pick up curbside meals at the back cafeteria entrance of each school.
